At the center of the label, pressed in silver foil, is the Go-Shichi-no-Kiri — the paulownia crest passed down from the Imperial House, the Ashikaga and Toyotomi clans to the Government of Japan: the highest family crest in the land.
This bottle was made in Napa by a Japanese hand — the bottle itself is its quiet testament. Since the first vintage of 2015, every release has gone out under Hayashi's own name.
Power, held in restraint.

Cassis, black cherry, cedar, violet, a whisper of graphite.
Fine, polished tannins; concentrated dark fruit; a long, elegant finish.
100% French oak. Vicard Generation 7, Tonnellerie de Couroc, Demptos — barrels chosen one by one from three coopers, where the wine sleeps quietly for 18 months.
